FSM Telcard Instructions

Instructions and tips for using FSM Telecom's Prepaid Calling Cards:

Scratch off the gray area on the back of your card to reveal your 10-digit prepaid calling card number.

Dial 211. You will hear a welcome announcement. You can skip the announcement and go to the next prompt by pressing:
  • 1 for ENGLISH
  • 2 for POHNPEIAN
  • 3 for CHUUKESE
  • 4 for YAPESE
  • 5 for KOSRAEN
  • 6 for JAPANESE
  • ... for CHINESE
  • 9 for cellular account refill
When prompted to enter Calling Card Number - enter your 10-digit prepaid calling card number. You can skip the whole voice prompt by entering the card number at the beginning of the prompt.

When prompted to enter Destination Number - enter Country Code and then the telephone number, followed by the pound sign (#). Remember that calls to the U.S.A., Guam and CNMI (Saipan) are classified as country code 1. Upon entering your destination number, you will be informed of exactly how long your call will last. If you terminate your call before the maximum time is up, you may use your card again. The next time you use the same card, you will again be informed of the time you are allowed for your phone call.

To obtain the balance available (in dollars and cents) on your prepaid calling card, dial BALANCE (225 2623), followed by the pound sign (#). The voice prompt will play your balance in English, even though you may have selected another language at the beginning of your call.

Pressing the star (*) button will allow you to correct any mistakes you make at the current progress stage. For example, if you accidentally enter the wrong number and you press the star (*) button immediately, the system will replay the card number voice prompt, allowing you to go back and re-enter your card number again, without having to hang up and start all over again.

Following the completion of your call, or if the number you dialed is busy, or if your called party does not answer, you may make another call (without re-entering your 10-digit card number) by pressing the star (*) button. You will be prompted to confirm your request to make another call by pressing the star (*) button again.

You can also use your TelCard Prepaid Calling Card while you are in the U.S.A., Guam, or CNMI (Saipan) -- you can only call destination numbers within the FSM from these locations -- by dialing one of the following numbers:
  • 1-800-513-5991 AT&T
  • 1-800-627-0691 MCI
  • 1-800-862-6492 SPRINT
